If you have joined a money-making marketing system, but failed to see any financial results from it, then this article might make you understand why that happened.
Maybe you joined a marketing or affiliate system which promised you that you will get a great source of passive income. This may include affiliate links, lead capture pages, sales funnels, and the like. All these promise good passive income, but nothing about it seems to work – for you.
Even if it did not work for you, it probably worked for others. This might be uncomfortable. But let’s see why….
Some people already have a sizable network to start with, and they have built up authority and credibility within their communities (offline and online). For these people, it is easy to recommend stuff via email or blogs, because aside from the credibility they hold, they also provide value through their personal recommendations and content.
Their audience knows that whatever they are promoting is not just all hype, but is about quality and effectiveness as well!
In most cases, it all boils down to your network.
If you haven’t cultivated a base of followers who see you as a trustworthy authority, then it would be hard for you to find success in any marketing system. You need people who trust you, but you also need to provide them with something valuable too!
This does not mean that you should just be posting inspirational quotes and snippets of your personal growth (though that might be helpful), you also need to provide a helpful tip, review, or thoughts about a certain product or service. This substantial information can help other people decide what to buy and where to go.
Providing practical information will make you a credible figure whether offline or online, and people will look to you for help. You don’t need to have a thousand followers, you can start with a minimum base of friends, family, and acquaintances!
Ah yes, the system promised you an automated process of earning a side income. You thought it was as easy as sharing and linking your pages on Social Media and blogs, then expect the income to roll in. Well, it does seem to do that… but the thing is, these tools cannot build relationships – and that is where you should come in!
You have to fill the void between the system and the lead/customer. Once you establish that part, the automation will take care of the rest. However, you do need to regularly build up rapport and relationship with customers and prospects to ensure consistency in your engagements, clicks, and profits. You need to show who you are and your value. This info can be included in the automated system.
The automated system needs your input too. Otherwise, it will fail to connect and resonate with leads and prospects.
That’s why you should put more focus on the back-end of your system. The back-end refers to content creation, engagement, recommendations and outright selling of products/services. You have to constantly build relationships if you want to sustain your success in marketing affiliate systems.
You don’t have to worry though. Certain tools can also help you automate some of these back-end works. This means that you can schedule posts and email blasts, curate email lists, and even leave automated messages. There are tons of free tools that can do this for you!
