When the word “brand” is mentioned, what’s the first thing that comes to your mind? A logo? A catchy phrase? Perhaps a swanky ad that you saw somewhere?
You need to realize that these are just the smallest elements required for branding. There’s a bigger picture that you need to focus on. Your personal brand is what will allow you to set yourself apart from the others. It is something that can give you the unique identity that can make you stand out among others.
This is what we learned in 2016, that caused our business to explode in 2017 and going forward.
As a network marketer, an effective personal brand is a major key to your success. It reflects the value of being a part of your team and not somebody else’s. To come up with the best brand for yourself, you need to answer three important questions:
To establish your online brand, you want people to know who you are. Clearly, state what is important to you and why. People will only believe in you if they know what you stand for.
A good example would be that you are someone who believes that using bitcoin for transactions is the future. You have a strong conviction within you that sometime in the future, people will no longer be using conventional paper money and instead use digital currency. You need to be able to express your principles clearly to others to create your brand.
Or maybe you have found and experience that CBD has incredible health benefits, and you want to share those benefits and earn an income from doing so. You need to have people understand that you care about their health, and you need to show you are doing it yourself.
This is the second thing you need to ask yourself. What are the things that you don’t like and vehemently disagree with?
Convey this belief clearly to others so you can set yourself apart from the ones who have an opposing opinion. You could say something like “I don’t like people who don’t believe in the power of lead generation.” Stating this will push away the ones who have an opposing belief. And that is fine!
Why?
These are probably not the ones who will want to join your team anyway. It even helps you identify the people you want to focus on. Moreover, this conviction is what makes you unique from the ones who say yes to everyone and everything just to make money. If you do this, you will not have a personal brand.
Now comes the most important part. You need to identify who your audience is. After you introduce yourself, you need to know who your customers and teammates will be. But, you can’t simply ask for their names and that’s it. You need to know them deeper.
Gain a deeper understanding of their wants, needs, pains, and aspirations. Build a strong relationship with your target market and they will want to work with you. They’ll say, “Wow! This guy understands me!”
