When it comes to network marketing, it is important to approach new people every day. Well, that’s the reality in any business venture. You have to meet, partner, and talk to new people every day to expand your reach, grow your business, and explore more opportunities. However, you are not going to be successful at this if you do not know how to approach people the right way. So here’s a step by step “connector” method that will increase your chance of success in this endeavor.
1. Find People
Whether this means finding new people or reconnecting with old friends and acquaintances, it does not matter. Harness the power of the Internet and Social Media. Look for new and old friends on Facebook, LinkedIn, or Twitter!
2. Send Gifts or Do Favors
When you have new or old friends, make sure to pop in with a short message to say hi and ask them how they are doing. But don’t be too pushy at this point. Just be natural, keep a good conversation going (if they are into it), and build a rapport genuinely. After a while, send them small gifts or agree to do a favor for them. It should be something that they actually need, or something that they would totally appreciate. It could be a product that can help them out at home, or a service that would free them from an errand. If possible, why not treat them to coffee, brunch or lunch? Just a natural catch-up session, and nothing else.
3. Then Ask A Favor in Return
Don’t do this right after sending a gift, catching up, or doing them a favor or else you will ruin the relationship you just built. Remember, people don’t like feeling used and the same principle should be followed, even in business. After a few more natural conversations and exchanges, you can pitch in and ask them to do a favor for you. Now you should provide a short introduction to your business and tell them the best points about it. You can start it like this:“Hello [name], I was wondering if you can do me a huge favor this time? I am part of a fast-growing company that has helped several people earn income from home. Is it okay if I send you a link about our company and see if you or anyone you know might be interested in it?”If they agree, that’s the time you send them a link. Now when they get the link, don’t pressure them to watch or reply right away. Give them at least a day before you follow up with it. People could get busy during the mornings or weekdays, so you might want to wait until they have free time to check the video. Your friend might also have a lot of questions after watching the video, so make sure to accommodate those too.
4. What to do If they Pre-Enroll?
Once your friend agrees to pre-enroll, send them a thank you message right away! At this point, since they have shown interest, it’s time to invite them to a ZOOM meeting where you will have the opportunity to talk about the business more. Make it simple, but make sure to introduce them to the affiliate program so they know that they have the option to earn too!Another thing is, you have to encourage them to invite other people who they think would be a great fit for the business. Ask them who they first think of if you say “highly-motivated,” “successful” or a “self-starter,” chances are these people would do well in the business! However, try not to be invasive about who they know, but do tell your friends that they can refer you to them or ask them if they are okay with giving you their personal details (names, emails, and numbers).
