How To Move From Suckville to Awesome Town
Are you at the point in your online marketing business where things just seem to suck, and it feels like you’ve hit a wall because you are not making progress? Well, that means you are in Suckville. The good news is, there’s always a way for you to move up and reach Awesome Town. How? Well, that’s what this article will be telling you today.
First, you have to understand that this whole thing is a process, and it will take time for you to develop new skills that would later help you move up to Awesome Town. Aside from that, there are online systems and mentoring programs to take. This is important so you won’t be alone in your journey towards Awesome Town.
James Lockett and his wife, Grace, had been in Suckville for quite some time too. When they both got married, both James and Grace were not in a good situation—financially. James lost almost half his assets from a divorce, while Grace is dealing with an almost insolvent business because it was almost run to the ground when her first husband contracted Cancer and died.
Basically, things did not start out pretty well. And that’s not the end of it. In 2014, James and Grace joined network marketing for the first time. They joined it as a form of the side hustle and did everything their upline told them.
So, basically, what they really did was cold call a huge list of people, spam anyone they can find on Facebook and meet up with just about anyone who shows some kind of interest in malls and coffee shops. Of course, these are things that should not be done in network marketing. But James and Grace merely followed what their upline told them, and genuinely thought that’s how things work. Well, it’s not how it works.
After all the endless calls, messages, and meetings, James and Grace only managed to retain one person on their team, and she is from China. The couple even went to China to try their luck out there, but they managed to only get one additional person who turned out to be more concerned about free lunch than the business itself.
While all of these are happening, someone is getting left behind at home. Grace’s son, from her first husband, was pretty much upset that his parents are always out busy at work, and then buys again with calls and messages when they get home. In other words, the couple was rarely spending time with the kid.
And the worse part? Nothing much is happening with the business. After all the time, effort, and endless prospecting, James and Grace are just left with 1 or 2 people. In other words, they were staying in Suckville. Well, something should be changed, right? The couple should eventually step up.
So, after a year of chasing prospects, James and Grace were introduced to the Internet Traffic Systems company in 2015 where they were taught how to do online marketing properly. This was the time when they realized that they were doing it all wrong the first time. This time, they have a mentor, Ray Higdon, who convinced them to join Internet Traffic Systems instead. The company later merged with Elite Marketing Pro in 2016.
Then this was the time when James and Grace finally moved up from Suckville to Awesome Town. Once the couple went through the courses and upskilled their digital marketing game and applied it to the networking business, everything just went uphill. The couple became one of the top 3 earners and later invited 500 people into the fold. It went over to 5,000 people in a course of 7 to 8 months!
Due to the immense success, they found with Internet Traffic Systems, James and Grace decided to do it full time. Now, they get to spend more time with their son and even earn enough to move into their dream home and pay the bills. You know, all that stuff.
Unfortunately, Internet Traffic Systems had to close down because it did not maintain the right compensation plan. James and Grace since moved on to a new company but brought all the new skills and strategies they learned from it.
Obviously, moving to Awesome Town is not going to be a get-rich-quick scheme. A lot of training and mentoring has happened for James and Grace to reach six- to seven-figures in income. That includes learning how to utilize paid Facebook ads the right way, how to effectively engage with prospects online, how to promote your business without getting banned on Facebook, and how to tell stories that can relate to your prospects and members. Now all these may seem like simple things, but knowing how to properly use these strategies actually makes the difference.
