Attracting the big wigs is possibly every network marketer’s dream, but of course, that cannot happen overnight. Attracting the best prospects and customers is never easy – especially if you’re still new to the business.
As a new player in the game, you don’t have a lot of connections yet, and the worse part is, you still need to build your credibility. However, this also means that there is enough ground for you to prove yourself. Once people see how determined and reliable you are in the business, word will easily get around.
As a newbie, you might have a lot of self-doubts and fears when it comes to network marketing. Questions of doom and gloom will surround your head – what if I don’t get to attract more clients? What if I get rejected? What if no one understands my business plan? The anxiety and struggles are real, but if you let these fears hold you – then absolutely nothing will happen to your business either.
To be successful, you have to take risks. You have to at least TRY attracting clients, TRY explaining the business to prospects, and possibly just FACE rejection along the way. Everyone wants to be successful – whether in business or their career, but success cannot be reached if you don’t go out there and try.
As an entrepreneur, your success will depend on how good you are in carrying the business forward. And as a network marketer, you need to attract prospects and customers to move your business forward. If you’re still a newbie, you have to drum yourself up to have the confidence and courage to face prospects and attract more customers. You can do that by:
Sure, you see a lot of network marketers who made it big and are now basking in their newfound success as of this moment. Naturally, as a new networker, you want to emulate their success, right? However, you should remember that success is relative and that you can define your own success personally.
Success in business does not just mean that you get to enjoy immense sales and return on investments. Nope. Sometimes, it’s just simply being able to attract a large pool of prospects in a day. Define your success in more intimate ways, and don’t stress over the achievements of others. Remember, you are still starting out – it is quite unfair if you compare yourself to someone who is already more experienced in the game.
Beliefs such as “I am not a morning person,” or “I can’t function under pressure” are just some that will most likely hinder you from achieving your network marketing goals. If you want to do more and achieve more, you have to believe that you can change your habits and actually do it. Your beliefs can turn into action – only if you put the effort into it.
If you tell yourself that you are not a morning person, then you are most likely inclined to wake up at noontime already. However, if you tell yourself that you can change your body clock and become more productive during the mornings, then your mind and body could at least try to reinforce this belief and start working towards the goal. Your beliefs can reinforce your actions.
Similarly, words (beliefs) can positively reinforce your plans and actions. Give yourself a pep talk every now and then – tell yourself you can do it, and that it is going to be okay. Just do what you do when you try to motivate a friend – you give him/her reassuring words, right? If you can do it for a friend, you can do it for yourself too.
But don’t just tell yourself that you are cool or awesome, reinforce yourself with words of action and motivation. Tell yourself how you wake up every day, prepare for the day and lead by example via your thoughts and actions. Remind yourself of how far you’ve come, and what obstacles you had to face just to be present at the moment, and whatever key moments and actions that were important to you.
These three things will help you face prospects and customers more confidently. However, you have to ingrain this in your daily habit – define your success, change beliefs and habits, then believe in yourself that you can do it. Basically, it’s all about taking control of your own networking journey and building your business piece by piece, day in and day out.
