As a network marketer, you have surely come across another networker who seems to be doing extremely well in the business. They have successfully built a popular and profitable network, cultivated a huge following, and enjoyed huge returns from their investment.
They are the kind of networkers who can be considered as a natural success. With just a few calls and speeches, they can convince a bunch of people to listen and join their network right there and then. These networkers are indeed worthy of emulation, but how do they do it in the first place?
The answer is, these highly successful networkers are usually quite popular in their social circle – long before they decided to become networkers. They are the kind of people who are friendly, helpful, popular and successful in their professional life (or are trusted members of their community).
These people already cultivated a huge following in their social networks and are more or less regarded as “influencers” in their circle. In short, they have already established their own brand (or cultivated a successful and positive image, to say the least). The thing is, people prefer to follow successful and reputable people – whether online or offline. And if you’re still struggling to build your own brand/image, then you are already at an unfair advantage.
So how can you emulate these successful networkers even if you are basically nobody as of the moment? Below is a step-by-step roadmap towards becoming a successful six-figure earner as a network marketer. This is how you can refine your skills in attraction marketing and grow your own network and enjoy returns.
You can’t master attraction marketing without refining your networking skills first. Your networking skills include being knowledgeable about the product/service, training people, task delegation, online or social media marketing, and overall people skills. You cannot be successful in network marketing if you are hesitant to do a lot of talking, or if your speeches/content don’t add any value at all.
For example, if you use a sponsored Facebook post to leverage your reach, you will surely catch the attention of more people. These people may take some time to listen to what you have to say, but they will be reluctant to spend money for you (especially if you are unknown to them) unless you slowly build a valuable rapport with them.
Now your knowledge, skills, and expertise in the business can ultimately dictate the quality of your content. This content is your tool to build a good rapport with your leads and prospects – if you fail to refine these first, then people will quickly lose interest in your networking opportunity.
This is actually related and may even simultaneously be done with phase 1. Building your brand at this point also means investing on your prospects. Meaning, this is where you should build a good relationship with them – online or offline (whenever possible).
You don’t have to talk about your business all day and night – that will only bore your followers. What you need to do is to cultivate your image as a reputable and knowledgeable business leader.
Follow the 80-20 rule – 80% of your time should be dedicated to delivering valuable and helpful posts/content (such as sharing generic business advice, motivational posts and the like), and only 20% of your time and effort should be spent in actually recruiting (or hard-selling) your business.
Like say once or twice a month, you can hold a webinar or online presentation where you can invite people to check out what you do and ask them how they may help out if they were to become a team member. That way, you can screen which people are a potential fit for your networking business (and are actually serious leads), and build a better rapport from there.
As your image and reputation grow, so will your followers. But you would know that you are in phase 3 when you start attracting the big wigs – or fellow influencers, that is. The good thing about attracting influencers is the leverage they can add to your business.
With their huge audience, your networking business will have a new pool to generate prospects and leads from. Your network will grow more, and businesses will be doing even better. Eventually, you might not even need to do actual recruiting anymore – people and other influencers will voluntarily reach out to you.
This process is not just good on paper. It has worked for many successful network marketers before, and it can work for you too! Take Whit and Cari Higham for example. They were a young and struggling couple, living in Cari’s parents’ basement with 2 babies to tend for. At the time, they cannot even afford to buy groceries.
They then decided to go into network marketing. And just after 2 years, they cultivated a 16,000+ strong following on Social Media, with over 1,000 customers and 20,000+ leads. Best of all, they earned over $427,000 in total income from different streams – the majority of course, from their network marketing business.
The journey was not easy, however. Cari and Whit had to take their time learning the necessary skills to become effective networkers. But once they did, business just went boom and kept on booming. So if it worked for them, it will work for you too. Start your first phase now!
