You now know how important it is to build and maintain relationships with your prospects. You need to ‘court’ your prospects and get them to fall in love with you and what you offer. Use your email newsletters as the ‘dating stage’ where you get to know each other better.

The process will be longer because it takes some time to gain the trust of a person. You have to work just to get another person’s contact details. Once you get a prospect’s phone number, you have to invest even more time to build the relationship. Getting someone to be interested in you will not happen instantly. You have to speak to each prospect personally and build rapport with them.

Your approach to network marketing should be similar to dating. You try to butter up your prospect so he would be willing to share his contact information with you. In fact, you should always over-deliver. Surprise your readers by giving them something that can make them go “wow!”. Offer something that would make them recognize your expertise in what you offer so they would start recognizing you as their ‘trusted advisor’. This can help in rousing their interest and make them want to get more from you. If you do this successfully, you don’t even have to ask them to join you. Your prospects will be begging to sign up for the opportunity you have to offer. They will be convinced that you are the one they want to follow because you have the answer they are looking for.

In the same manner, you should make sure to take advantage of the opportunity to market yourself and what you offer. However, you have to this in such a way that you are not simply selling something. You genuinely want what is best for your prospect which is why you are presenting your product or business opportunity to them,
