  • You message strangers on social media and send links to your business opportunity.
  • You get people angry when you send them IMs.
  • You find comments to exploit and leave links to your website.
  • You find yourself talking about your company even when unprompted.
  • You always have a hidden agenda when talking to people and can’t wait to shift the conversation toward your business opportunity.

Now take note of that last point. 

As marketers, you’re trained to grab every opportunity to sell. But that’s not what people want. Even you have to admit: You don’t like being sold a product that you’re not interested in.
