The Top Keystone of Network Marketing Success

Many entrepreneurs find themselves very much attracted to the next big thing, making it hard for them to actually sit down and push through current projects and ventures. If you find yourself jumping from one opportunity to another, or when you tend to market many products at once – then you are suffering from this same kind of malady. This is what we call the “Shiny Object Syndrome.”

We get it – we have had times when we succumbed to this Syndrome too. We took on too much, and changed too soon, several times. None of it made us successful. We’d love to share our lessons learned.

The strategy — which we agree with – of “Multiple Streams of Income” plays into this syndrome. One is a strategy, and one is a disease. We must distinguish them, and learn how to build our businesses right.

Entrepreneurs who suffer from the Shiny Object Syndrome see their projects and ventures fail because they fail to commit to their initial goals and plans. And that’s all because they chase one rainbow after another.

Of course, no one ever becomes successful by spending all their resources on different types of projects, and never committing to them after a few months or so.

Most experts who develop multiple streams of income recommend that you use several affiliate offers to develop cash flow, while you focus for 2-5 years on one network marketing company.

Getting cashflow from affiliate offers and your early team building efforts builds your business. Jumping from deal to deal, without learning key skills, and without developing basic cashflow for your overall business, is destructive for your business.

That is different from developing multiple streams of income, which you should do. There is a right way to do so.  Falling to Shiny Object Syndrome is the wrong way.

This Syndrome is also partly caused by the notion that your current projects aren’t yielding enough results. When you think of it that (wrong) way, then it would really make you decide to move on to another venture.

However, this is not good practice. It is normal for businesses and entrepreneurs to not see any significant success a few months (and even a few years) after starting up the business.

In network marketing, this usually happens when networkers cannot find any more prospects. And the truth is that you need 2-5 years with a network company for the average person to develop the income that they need.

Networkers, like entrepreneurs, should not give up too soon. You might be thinking that your network marketing efforts have failed because you don’t have new prospects and recruits.

But that is not really the keystone of network marketing success. Do you know what it is? It’s actually your audience!

Yes, having an audience is the main keystone of a successful network marketing venture. They don’t have to be prospects or your recruits, they just have to be there – listening and interacting with your posts, content, and messages. Having an audience who trusts you is the basic keystone of network marketing success. With an audience, you get to:

Let’s face it. No matter how awesome your product is, it’s still useless if its great features and benefits can reach a substantial audience. In other words, it is very important to grow your audience if you want to be a successful networker.

You need this audience for prospecting, recruiting, and promotions. You need to talk to an audience. Because whether you like it or not, it’s difficult to convert people if they don’t even hear or see you at all. A wide audience gives you a wide reach (or mileage). That’s what you should be working on as a starting networker.

So how do you grow your audience? Particularly, how do you get people to listen and follow you? It’s by telling and sharing stories. Yup, it’s probably one of the oldest strategies in a marketing book, but there’s actually no other way.

With the digital boom, there’s always tons of space for you to tell your stories. You can share it through Social Media posts, threads, forums, videos, and on your own blogs and sites. You have to be out there telling stories about you and your business.

Always engage your audience with honest and personal stories. Sure, it can be about how helpful your product has been to your lives, but it can also be personal stories about yourself. Your journey, frustrations, and success are the kind of stories that your audience will surely resonate with – and it will be easier to build relationships with them if you are always true and authentic with your stories.

Through these stories, your audience will begin to like and even trust you. The right people will surely engage with you and participate in the discussion. Slowly but surely, you can build a good rapport with your audience.

Many people from your audience may regularly like, comment, and share your posts, but this does not always mean that they are also willing to join your network or buy your products for that matter. That’s fine, but the truth is, you also need to convert people in order to keep your business afloat.

However, you shouldn’t sound too pushy. Sounding pushy and desperate will only turn people off. Honestly, no one wants to feel forced into buying or making a huge decision, right? We don’t want that for ourselves.

So how do you convert people while not sounding desperate at the same time? The answer is to grow your influence.

It is basically the art of subtle pitching. You are not forcing people to buy a certain product, but you are influencing them to buy it.

Conversion does not usually happen overnight. While some of your audience can be easily sold, a lot of them will remain dormant. They are just waiting and looking at their options for as long as possible. However, as long as they engage, you will eventually know their main concerns and issues – then it will be easier for you to influence them into buying or joining your business.

Growing your audience and influence on Social Media is an entirely different life skill. You need all the knowledge and learning materials you can get to successfully pull it off. Gone are the days when you have to stand in malls and cafes just to look for prospects. You don’t even have to go out as long as you can successfully harness the power of Social Media!
