3 Ways to Grow Your Networking Business With the Use of the Internet

A lot of successful network marketers have used the power of Internet Marketing.

That is no secret. However, many networkers are having a hard time replicating the same results, despite using the same tools and platforms that the more successful ones also did.

This is because, for most people, Internet Marketing is limited to Social Media. When in fact, Internet Marketing also includes blogging, vlogging, videos, email marketing, and online advertising. Of course, not all facets of Internet Marketing are needed to achieve success in networking.

You can just use two to three strategies and still earn a 6-7-figure income. What is important is that you are able to establish a great strategy that can be easily replicated. Attraction Marketing is one.

What is Attraction Marketing?

Attraction Marketing is very much part of prospecting. But instead of chasing down people, you let them come to you. This is more effective and less time-consuming, because you already know that the people who come to you are already interested to become part of your business. They just need you to guide the way.

How can you attract prospects in the first place?

At this point, you have to build on your knowledge and credibility. There are many ways to do that online. Most networkers who effectively use Attraction Marketing share what they call “curiosity posts,” which is all about giving valuable information to your friends and audience but still making them curious enough to eventually reach out to you and ask about what you do.

It does not involve a lot of talk about your business and products per se. It’s more about building rapport and relationships with a targeted pool of people.

However, using curiosity posts is just one method when it comes to growing your networking business. There are several more strategies to it such as:

Strategy 1: Social Media Prospecting

This is very similar with traditional prospecting, except that you do it online instead of hanging around in malls and cafes. This is so much better and comfortable, and it helps you work faster too. First, you have to search for people. You can start with your friends, and then your friends of friends.  But unlike traditional prospecting, you are not limited to your locality. With technology, you can prospect anywhere.

You can look for people who are living in your area so that it will be easy for you to schedule a meet up when you have to. For some businesses, especially product-based ones, this is good. If you can send them a direct message, the better, but not about business — just develop relationships. Most people hate it when they receive messages from networkers who are too in-your-face about their business. It will be better to add them to your Facebook friends first.

Adding them to your friends’ list is just the first step. You also have to qualify them first. Try to discern what their personality is through their posts. Are they outgoing? Do they seem to be a positive person? Could they be looking for better opportunities? If not, they don’t look likely to be good team members.  You should try to qualify them according to these factors.  If they look like they could be good prospects, then craft a personal message and begin to get to know them. If he/she responds positively, try to set up a Zoom or Messenger chat or a personal meeting with them!

Strategy 2: Use the Mouse Trap Method

Now, this is very easy and quite common. If you noticed some fellow marketers posting about their results, then that is what we call the Mouse Trap Method! It is creating curiosity by showing your lifestyle and your success. You don’t have to say much about your business, you can just let your life and your results do the talking. Of course, you must include a call to action in your post, such as encouraging your friends to “ask you how” or to PM you for more info.  Or you just wait for people to contact you.

In the Mouse Trap Method, networkers should NOT post the money they earn. That is not the idea here, and that practice usually would violate rules. However, results are not about the money you earn – it should be about a certain achievement or lifestyle change that was made possible due to your business or products. That also creates curiosity about your products, and it will attract people who want to try it too!

Strategy 3: Attraction Marketing

This is what we talked about earlier. Using the Mouse Trap Method can be considered part of Attraction Marketing. However, Attraction Marketing is not just about showing off your lifestyle or results. It is also about establishing yourself as a credible authority in your networking business and product niche.

It is also about being trustworthy and honest with your prospects and customers. It’s not just about selling and recruiting, it’s more about helping your networking community grow in terms of authority and recognizability.
